2008 Volunteer of the Year

Each and every year the volunteers come forward to help make the Sweet and Hot Music Festival a reality. Every one of them is special and deserves to be recognized, but in the course of things it is impossible to give all of them the applause that they deserve. So, we the Board of Directors, will choose one from the many to represent the entire staff as our volunteer of the year. This person will be chosen because of his/her cheerful can-do attitude and dedication of his/her service to the furtherance of the music.

This year our choice has been unanimous given the strength of character and his unfailingly cheerful and helpful attitude. He accepts every task and performs it quickly to the best of his abilities without complaint. He is helpful to the nth degree. He is reliable, resourceful and takes on duties that he perceives as necessary but that are not being done. He arrives early and stays late. He is always "Johnny on the Spot" and has been for the last thirteen years.

Thus, it is with pleasure that we announce our choice for the Sweet and Hot Volunteer of the year 2008:

We are extremely proud of all the volunteers who come and work in behalf of the Sweet and Hot Music Festival. It is their contribution to the preservation and presentation of this America Art form that makes music festivals such as the Sweet and Hot Music Festival possible.
